Meet the Middleton Farm Family
There are plenty of characters at Middleton Farm and we're not just talking about the humans!
From our fluffy Highland cows and cheeky donkeys to our sheep, goats, ducks and cattle, our animals are a huge part of life here on the farm.
Some are gentle, some are nosey, some are noisy... and some seem to cause a little more mayhem than others!

LITTLE MISS MAYHEM
Highland Cow Calf
Small, fluffy and already one of the biggest personalities at Middleton Farm.
Mayhem had quite an arrival into the world and has been winning hearts ever since. Bottle-fed from a very young age, she quickly became part of the Middleton Farm family and now seems to think she runs the place.

Known for: Causing Mayhem
Favourite pastime: Seeing what everyone else is doing
Special skill: Getting away with absolutely everything
Look out for: One very fluffy dark chocolate Highland calf
HETTIE
Highland Cow
Hettie is one half of our Highland twins and is easy to spot with her gorgeous shaggy Highland coat. Calm, curious and very photogenic, she's definitely one of the farm's posers!
Born: TBC
Family: Twin sister to Daisy, auntie to Mayhem
Personality: Calm, curious and very photogenic
Known for: Being one of our gorgeous Highland twins
Look out for: That magnificent Highland hair!
Snoop Dog
Donkey
Where there's Scooby Doo, Snoop Dog usually isn't too far away.
Our donkeys are firm favourites with visitors and have very different personalities once you get to know them.

Known for: Never being too far away from Scooby
Personality: Full of character
Best friend: Scooby Doo
Look out for: The two boys hanging out together
Donald
Duck
Donald's another one of our feathered Middleton Farm characters and is rarely far away from Daffy.
Born: 15/05/2014
Personality: Cheeky and curious
Favourite pastime: Splashing in puddles
Bestie: Daffy
Special skills: Making sure everyone knows he's there!
DAISY
Highland Cow
Daisy is one half of our beautiful Highland twins and, perhaps most importantly, she's Little Miss Mayhem's mum!
Born: TBC
Family: Twin sister to Hettie and mum to Mayhem
Personality: Calm and independent
Look our for: Her beautiful ginger Highland coat
Scooby Doo
Donkey
Every farm needs a Scooby Doo!
One of our much-loved Middleton Farm donkeys, Scooby has been part of the family for many years and is always worth saying hello to when you visit.
Born: 07/08/2001
Fun Fact: Donkeys aren't particularly keen on the rain!
Personality: Curious and lovable
Best friend: Snoop Dog
Look out for: Scooby hanging out with his partner in crime
Daffy
Duck
Don't expect Daffy to go unnoticed. He's got plenty to say!

Favourite pastime: Following Donald around
Best friend: Donald
Look out for: Plenty of waddling and quacking!
ABOUT OUR HIGHLANDS
Highland cattle are famous for their long shaggy coats, impressive horns and ability to cope with Scotland's less than tropical weather!
But our Highlands have something else too very different personalities.
Make sure you look out for Hettie, Daisy and, of course, the smallest member of our Highland family... Little Miss Mayhem!
Our Donkeys
Donkeys are intelligent, curious and very social animals, which is why companionship is so important to them.
Our boys, Scooby Doo and Snoop Dog, are firm Middleton Farm favourites and usually never far from one another!
Our Ducks
Our ducks might be smaller than some of the other Middleton Farm residents, but they certainly aren't quieter!
Daffy and Donald waddle, quack and add even more character to life on the farm.
Our Goats
Our goats are cheeky, curious and always looking for something to investigate!
They're brilliant climbers, love being together and even have rectangular pupils that give them an amazing wide view of the world around them.

Our Valais Cross Sheep
Our Valais cross sheep were introduced to Middleton Farm in summer of 2025.
Valais Cross sheep are known for their unique characteristics and high adaptability. With their striking black and white wool, they not only add beauty to the farm but also high-quality fleece.
These sheep are hardy and thrive in various climates, making them an excellent choice for sustainable farming. Their friendly temperament and ease of make them a favorite among farmers and visitors alike.
Limousin Cattle
Our Limousin cattle are easy recognise by their beautiful golden-red coats.
They're impressive animals and an important part of life here at Middleton Farm. You may spot them enjoying the fields around the farm during visit.
